Main Page error reports
![]() | National variations of the English language have been extensively discussed previously:
|
To report an error in content currently or imminently on the Main Page, use the appropriate section below.
- Where is the error? An exact quotation of the text in question helps.
- Offer a correction if possible.
- References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
- Time zones. The Main Page runs on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 22:50 on 28 February 2025) and is not adjusted to your local time zone.
- Can you resolve the problem yourself? If the error lies primarily in the content of an article linked from the Main Page, fix the problem there before reporting it here. Text on the Main Page generally defers to the articles with bolded links. Upcoming content on the Main Page is usually only protected from editing beginning 24 hours before its scheduled appearance. Before that period, you can be bold and fix any issues yourself.
- Do not use {{edit fully-protected}} on this page, which will not get a faster response. It is unnecessary, because this page is not protected, and causes display problems. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
- No chit-chat. Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere, such as the talk page of the relevant article or project.
- Respect other editors. Another user wrote the text you want changed, or reported an issue they see in something you wrote. Everyone's goal should be producing the best Main Page possible. The compressed time frame of the Main Page means sometimes action must be taken before there has been time for everyone to comment. Be civil to fellow users.
- Reports are removed when resolved. Once an error has been addressed or determined not to be an error, or the item has been rotated off the Main Page, the report will be removed from this page. Check the revision history for a record of any discussion or action taken; no archives are kept.

Yuika: I believe this should say "a music-related course", similar to the article (though the grammar in the article is pretty bad). Jay8g [V•T•E] 20:57, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
- Is the article good enough for the front page? The approved hook had the 'a' in it, so I'll re-add, but the article itself has lots of grammar issues. Secretlondon (talk) 21:32, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
Done for the 'a' Secretlondon (talk) 21:34, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
- I gave it a bit of a copy edit. SL93 (talk) 21:41, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
Errors in "On this day"
- Ranavalona III -- The image should be replaced with a higher-res version, File:Ranavalona III of Madagascar.jpg or a cropped version thereof. JayCubby 16:30, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
- @JayCubby: The file you're suggesting we use is the file we're using, isn't it? Is there another file somewhere? Am I missing something?
- @JayCubby:God I'm incompetent. That was me. repinging. --Floquenbeam (talk) 16:35, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
- No worries Floq, I meant to paste Ranavalona_III_of_Madagascar_Portrait_with_Signature.jpg — Preceding unsigned comment added by JayCubby (talk • contribs)
- I feel better now that you didn't sign either. If that was intentional, that was kind! I don't think we'd want the signature, so I'll leave it to someone more adept in images than me (i.e. basically anyone) to decide whether to recrop or something. --Floquenbeam (talk) 16:41, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
- I wish it were unintentional, but no. I edit conflicted with you and re-pasted most of my pre-EC message, save the four tildes. JayCubby 16:49, 28 February 2025 (UTC)

202 BC: Please bypass the redirect to Dynasties of China. Jay8g [V•T•E] 20:52, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
- I don't know if this is considered an error but it was announced just an hour ago [1] [2] [3] that the month-long fast of Ramadan starts tomorrow where 2 billion Muslims would fast from sunrise to sunset. I think it is notable enough to be included in tomorrow's On this day 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 16:25, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
- I agree. I'll look at it. Secretlondon (talk) 18:36, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
- It doesn't seem to have featured last year. According to the rules the article needs updating with the date of this years, cited to a reliable source. The dates are not in the article on Ramadan but there is this on the page. Does that count, do we think? Secretlondon (talk) 18:57, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
- The dates are in the article at Ramadan#Important dates, cited to what seems a reliable source. By my count there are only 3 citation needed tag in the article, which should not be enough to prevent posting. Floquenbeam (talk) 21:39, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
1562: please bypass the redirect to François, Duke of Guise. Jay8g [V•T•E] 20:52, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
